Strength Level: Brainchild possessed the average
strength of a normal human who engaged in moderate exercise.
Known Superhuman Powers: Brainchild’s
brain has been enhanced so that it operates as a ‘living computer’.
Presumably this means that he is capable of performing complex calculations
quickly, and enables him to store and recall a vast quantity of information
accurately. This enables Brainchild to operate the complex machinery
of the Savage Land citadel. It also enables him to predict the actions
of his opponents. Brainchild has a particular aptitude for genetic
experiments and may have experimented on himself. There is uncorroborated
evidence that he has developed limited telepathic abilities, which
may extend to mind control and possession.
Abilities/Special Skills: Brainchild is a technological
genius and is proficient in using the advanced equipment and machinery
in the citadel formerly occupied by Magneto and the High Evolutionary.
He is particularly expert in the field of genetics.
Weapons Used: Brainchild has used guns in the
past, but prefers to stay out of combat situations if at all possible. |

Personality:
Sly and manipulative, Brainchild prefers to
use others as pawns in his schemes rather than engage in battles himself.
Personal
Interests: Unknown.
History: Brainchild was presumably a native
of the Savage Land, who was subjected by Magneto to a process that
developed a latent mutant gene and turned him into a superhuman mutate.
As part of the Savage Land Mutates, Brainchild clashed repeatedly
with the X Men, either as henchmen of Magneto, or a variety of other
masters. The Savage Land Mutates were most frequent allies of the
priestess Zaladane.
Following Zaladane’s death, Brainchild and the other Savage
Land Mutates dropped out of sight, and it appears that they were put
into a state of suspended animation within the Zaladane’s citadel.
They were inactive when the Savage Land was destroyed, by an army
of unknown origin.
Brainchild was awakened by Kylie Lycos who informed him of the destruction
of the Savage Land. He then used the machines in the citadel to create
a second generation of mutates. These mutates were willing participants,
although Brainchild did not tell them that the process was a one-way
transformation.
Brainchild then sent his team called the Savages, to abduct the Hellion
Teryn, planning to use her terraforming powers to regenerate the Savage
Land. The Savages were successful in their mission and Teryn was placed
in a device that leeched her power and channelled it into the Savage
Land. The process was halted by Teryn’s team mate Touch, the
White Queen and some of the Savages. Teryn then turned on Brainchild
and used her powers to kill him. Whether Brainchild’s plan to
regenerate the Savage Land was successful or not has not been revealed,
but it seems likely that at least some of the Savage Land has been
restored. |
