Personality: Krystil Frost is ambitious. She
is not cruel, but can be ruthless when she sets her sights on something.
She is loyal to her friends and to the Hellions, and wants the best
for them. She is currently guilt ridden over her betrayal of her
fiancée, and does not realise that she was under the psychic
domination of the White Rook when she slept with DeFaux.
Personal Interests: Unrevealed.
History: When
her mother died, Krystil Frost was sent away to boarding school
by her step father Luther Fox, and it was there that she learned
of her powers. Terrified by her emerging mutant powers, she returned
home – much to the displeasure of Fox. Krystil discovered
that he had been responsible for her mother’s death, which
had given him complete control of Frost industries. Using her powers
as a weapon for the first time, Frost encased him in a block of
solid crystal, suffocating him to death.
Krystil then sought out her aunts, who instructed her in the use
of her powers and introduced her to the Hellfire Club. Krystil was
brought to the attention of Lord William Marushi, the White King
of the Club. Under his patronage, she rose swiftly through the ranks,
ultimately becoming the White Queen. Frost also re-established the
Massachusetts Academy, and began to train a new generation of Hellions
– superhuman agents of the Inner Circle.
Shortly after arriving in the Hellfire Club, Frost met and became
involved with the Black King, Roberto DaCosta Jr. This caused conflict
because of the animosity between the Black and White Kings. Both
believed that the other’s attentions to Frost were unwanted
and that the other was only interested in her to use her to advance
their own position in the club. Krystil felt torn between the two
until Marushi’s death, and is currently unaware that DaCosta
plotted to kill him.
Shortly after Marushi’s murder, she and DaCosta became engaged.
However, under the psychic influence of the White Rook, Frost slept
with another member of the Inner Circle, Armond DeFaux, the White
Bishop. Frost is not aware that she was under the Rook’s control,
and feels guilt ridden over the incident, but did not confide in
the Black King. DaCosta learned of the event from the Grey Knight
and murdered DeFaux. How DaCosta will react to Krystil, and whether
their relationship will continue, remains to be seen.
