Known Superhuman Powers: Voss is a mutant who possesses psychic powers, the full extent of which have yet to be seen. He uses his power primarily as a weapon, channelling destructive psychic energy through his hands. He has also proved able to manipulate the minds of other people. It would appear that he cannot control the actions of his targets, but he can cloud their perceptions. In this way he was able to hide the presence of a group of Shrine troopers in a busy street. Voss is capable of projecting his astral form so that he can observe and interact with people and events a long way from his physical body
Abilities/Special Skills: Voss is a competent hand-to-hand combatant, but prefers to use ranged weapons. He is fully trained in the use of the advanced weaponry and technology of the Shrine.
Weapons Used: As the leader of the Shrine Voss has an arsenal of advanced weaponry at his disposal. He routinely wears a suit of armour, and carries a disrupter pistol which can be set to paralyse or kill.

Personality: Voss is a religious fanatic who believes that the true path of mutants was shown by Apocalypse, who believed that the stronger mutant race should usurp the weaker human race. Voss believes that the Shrine’s secret infiltration of human institutions of power is too slow and believes that war on the human race is called for. This situation has recently been exacerbated following his injuries, which have driven him to even more extreme views.
Personal Interests: Voss is single-mindedly devoted to his religious crusade. He is cruel and arrogant, believing himself superior to humans (and most mutants). Following his injuries, Voss has vowed to revenge himself on Spitfire.
History:
Little is currently known about Alexander Voss before his first encounter with Spitfire. He was the youngest person to achieve the high rank of Prelate and made few friends in the Shrine’s ruling elite. His activities for the Shrine brought him into conflict with Pilgrim several times. In his first encounter with Spitfire, Voss was badly burned, his face disfigured. Since that occasion, Voss vowed to get revenge.
This obsession disturbed his superiors in the Shrine, and he was warned away from attacking Spitfire so that his actions did not jeopardise other Shrine missions. Voss pretended to comply, but secretly began following plans of his own. He arranged for a group of superhuman bounty hunters: Mavryk, Facet, Hatchet, Orchid, Snare and Ken Shackley, to abduct Spitfire and fight her in a controlled environment where the limits of her powers could be measured and tested. The leaders of the Shrine became suspicious, but it seemed that Voss was returning to his former duties, assisting a group of escaped convicts from the Stanton Correctional Facility to cause chaos in England. However during this incident Voss again attacked Spitfire, this time successfully capturing her and bringing her back to a Shrine base. He was arrested for defying orders and taken to see the Grey Eminence, leader of the Shrine, who was revealed to be a fraud, not in touch with Apocalypse at all but using the Shrine for his own personal power. Voss was able to trick Spitfire into accidentally killing the Grey Eminence, and Voss took advantage of this to gain the support he needed. Voss’ faction took control of the Shrine, and he proclaimed himself as the new Grey Eminence.
