Personality: Zakk is a bit of a joker and enjoys his job a little bit too much, but he's not intensely evil, just not very nice. He likes to hurt people, especially those who have screwed him over in the past.
Personal Interests: Other than killing and hurting people, Hatchet's free time is taken up with resting, chatting up women in clubs and collecting and cleaning his vast range of weaponry.
History: When Hatchet first appeared in the NXU, he was working for the head of a mutant research facility as the person who got answers from it's captors by any means necessary. Extremists member, Mavryk, found this out the hard way...twice and was lucky to escape with her life at the hands of Hatchet. He was then seduced by Extremists member, Vixen Blue while he was trying to prevent the team from escaping the facility. He was assumed killed when the building was blown up by the team, but turned up some weeks later in a sucessful attempy to kidnap Janie Steed, aided by Silverbolt.
Some time later, Hatchet, along with Facet, Mavryk, Orchid and Ken Shackley were kidnapped by Prelate Voss (now Grey Eminience) allthough they didn't know who their captor was, to fight Spitfire. During this mission, Hatchet and Mavryk were forced to team up together. During their bungled attempt to fight Spitfire, the two had a blazing argument in which Mavryk insisted upon a divorce. This was the first time their unconventional marriage was mentioned. After this outburst, Mavryk pulled the pins on several hand grenades that were attatched to Hatchet's body and activated his teleportation device leaving him to his doom.Lucky for him, the armour he had put on, courtesy of Voss's arsenal, saved him from any lasting damage, allthough he was unconscious for some time after.
Hatchet was most recently seen handing over a book over to Mavryk containing a number of contacts to aid her in her return to the bounty hunter/mercenary for hire scene.
