They soon found out that Samantha had Muscular Dystrophy and would eventually be confined to a wheelchair. After Samantha jumped the first time Lindsay was no longer able to deal with the situation and divorced Cannonball, and gave him full custody of Samantha. He accepted Angel's offer to run the Museum and he and Sammie moved in. For the past few years she has been treated by Dr. Richard McCoy, Beast and Trish Tilby's son. With help from Roger Bochs (Box) and Walter Langkowski (Sasquatch), they were able to create an artificial body for Samantha based on Alpha Flight's Box technology. This unit give Samantha mobility that she would otherwise be denied. She is not expected to live past her early teen years.
