Personality: Manipulative and ambitious. Edgar
Lackham is used to getting his own way. His manner is conversational
and diffident, which hides the fact that he is extremely perceptive,
always looking for a way to turn a situation to his advantage. Lackham
is supremely confident in his own abilities and is extremely arrogant.
Personal Interests: Lackham has taken a personal
interest in managing the career of the London based super hero Spitfire,
to the extent that he even refers to himself as her manager, even
though technically he owns the agency and does not manage other
clients. It has now been revealed that he was doing this to increase
his prestige in the Hellfire Club.
History: Very
little is known about Edgar Lackham’s life before he met Spitfire.
His father built up the family fortune and on his death, it all
passed to his son. The circumstances of his father’s death
have yet to be revealed. Ambitious to increase his power and influence,
Lackham soon became aware of the Inner Circle of the London Hellfire
Club and set his sights on taking the place left by the deceased
Black Rook. To do this he used his fortune to manage the career
of Spitfire, effectively taking over her life and then using the
information he had on her to force her to work for the Hellfire
Club. His duplicity won the approval of the Inner Circle and he
was been promoted to Black Rook, however when Spitfire broke away
from their control and destroyed the Club’s London mansion,
Lackham was blamed by Silas Dashwood, the Black King, and stripped
of his former rank. Fearing further reprisals, Edgar Lackham is
currently in hiding.
