Place of birth: Unrevealed. Presumably somewhere in the colonial United States.
Age: Over 300 years old.

Known Relatives: Nocturne’s family are all long, dead, although it is possible that she may have living relatives who are, in effect, her descendants. Nocturne referred to the vampires King and Isynn as her father and sister respectively. In the terminology of the cult, this means that King was the vampire who bit her and made her a vampire, and Isynn was also made into a vampire by this same ‘sire’.

Distinguishing Marks: Very pale skin. Fangs.
Strength Level: Nocturne possessed enhanced strength, speed and agility. The uppermost limits of her strength had not been revealed at the time of her disappearance.
Known Superhuman Powers: Nocturne possesses a number of superhuman abilities derived from her vampiric nature. She was supernaturally fast and agile, and her strength is far above that of a normal human being. Nocturne also possesses hypnotic powers, and could confuse the minds of those who had less will power than she. She only ever used this power on men. While these were the only abilities she was seen to use during her time with the Wildcards, it is possible that she had other abilities traditionally associated with vampires.
Nocturne was vulnerable to sunlight which could destroy her. During her time in the Wildcards she wore a suit designed by the mutant inventor Forge which enabled her to go out in the day. Whether Nocturne was vulnerable to crosses and garlic as are vampires in fiction, was never revealed.

Abilities/Special Skills: Nocturne is an expert in a variety of martial arts. Bearing in mind her long life, it can be assumed that Nocturne has amassed a wide range of abilities and skills, but did not reveal them to the other members of the Wildcards.
Weapons Used: None, usually, although she was skilled in using swords.

Personality: -
Personal Interests: Unrevealed.
History:
Very little is known of Nocturne’s past. She was born in colonial era America, and was bitten and turned into a vampire when in her early twenties by the vampire King. What she did for the next three hundred years has not been revealed, although at some point she was involved with another vampire called Method. Method had previously been the lover of Nocturne’s ‘sister’ Isynn, who was overwhelmed with jealousy. Nocturne left the coven because of this conflict.
At some point in recent years Nocturne met Simon Case, the superhuman mutant called Sight. The circumstances of their meeting have yet to be revealed, but Nocturne later told Ace that she owed Sight a debt and would not leave him until her debt was repaid. It is not clear at this time whether Sight and Nocturne were lovers or close friends. Because of her debt to Sight, Nocturne joined the Wildcards when Sight did.
As a member of the Wildcards, Nocturne fought Rage’s gang and her own vampire cult, when Isynn persuaded the others that she was revealing their secrets to the government. Nocturne and Isynn fought each other in an arena under New Orleans, and Isynn would have killed Nocturne, but she was destroyed by Firestarter in revenge for murdering her brother Big C.
During the Wildcards final mission, Nocturne went missing, and was replaced without the knowledge of the other team members by the Changeling, Switch. During the battle between the Changelings and the Wildcards, Switch used her disguise to get close to Sight and murder him. The surviving Wildcards were imprisoned. What happened to Nocturne remains a mystery. Ace believed that she was murdered by the Changelings when they replaced her, but this has now been disproven as she has most recently been sighted in an attempt to incapacitate and bring Vixen Blue back to the mysterious organisation she seems to be working for. It is not clear whether they were the ones who took Nocturne away from the Wildcards or whether they were able to save her.
