Strength Level: The Oracle possesses the normal
strength of a human her age who engages in moderate regular exercise.
Known Superhuman Powers: Due to her age, Oracle's
mutant powers are highly underdeveloped, and potentially very dangerous.
First, she has the acute ability to Glimpse future events. Though
not necessarily able to "see" what will happen within her
own mind, she gains short, powerfully overwhelming, graphically detailed
and accurate premonitions of occurrences that will take place in the
future. As of yet, she is barely able to control when the Glimpses
occur. A power Oracle is much more able to control is her unique form
of mind control. She can physically manifest crystalline shards, which,
upon contact with her intended target (actual contact with the shards
is completely painless because her targets body would absorb them)
serves as a mental link between the target and herself. Once the link
is established, she is able to completely control a person’s
physical being, though her target will know exactly what is occurring
and what is going on around them. The links are only temporary, however,
lasting at a maximum of five minutes.
Abilities/Special Skills: Beyond her knack for
sassy comebacks and remarks, Chakah has a skill developed beyond her
young age for throwing not only her mentally manifested crystalline
shards, but also small knives, throwing stars and other projectiles
to an exact target and degree. However, she usually utilizes only
the crystalline shards, as Nexus won't let her within ten feel of
metallic blades... more so for their own safety then anyone else's.
Weapons Used: Chakah's mentally manifested crystalline
shards are usually her only utilized weapon, besides her smart-allecky
mouth, of course. |

Personality:
Matrice is just as much of a fireball as her
wild appearance would lead you to believe, if not more so. She's forever
curious, adventurous, and extremely hyperactive, as well as a very
out going, and often times very smart-allecky little kid. Simply put?
She acts her age and at the level of discipline that has been instilled
in her over the years- plenty, but for all of the wrong reasons. She
takes no grief about her appearance, has little respect for authority
that doesn't show her respect back, and has the sweet tooth from hell.
(Which can be comparably dangerous. Sugar rush + Hyperactive squirt
= BIG TROUBLE.) Despite being a bit of a brat, Chakah *loves* people
of all kinds, finding them incredibly interesting- as long at they're
not mean. In those cases she enjoys a good game of "make the
bad guy flog himself unconscious with hi own shoe".
Personal Interests: OChakah is a Saturday morning
cartoon-a-holic, as well as an avid comic book and Spiderman fanatic.
She loves collecting action figures, playing video games, roller blading,
causing any sort of trouble, and absolutely hates both school and
having to sit still in any one place for an extended amount of time.
She loves the color purple, any food with massive amounts of sugar
and is petrified of snakes and her inability to control herself during
her attacks of premonition.
History: (Up
to the beginning of the Nexus: Wrath of Kayn story arc.) Matrice Manchakah
spent her entire childhood living in, running away from, and being
drug right back to the Witworth Orphanage in Manchester England. Upon
her arrival at the orphanage as an infant it soon became apparent
that Chakah had little chance of being adopted due to her stark mutant
appearance. Chakah was a bitter, sassy child growing up. She despised
the nuns that took care of she and the other children, accept for
Sister Dorothy, the Nun with the gimp leg, a source of many of the
orphan children's mockery, and one of the few of the adults of the
children's home who had taken kindly to The Oracle. The rest of the
nuns, and especially the Headmaster, Sister Superior, saw the child
as little more then a freakish little gnome, and a perfect example
to utilize to the other children in the institution by way of discipline.
Chakah was beaten regularly.
Upon the manifestation of her powers, Chakah was thrust completely
out of any social ranking amongst her peers, and into an even worse
standing with her Catholic caretakers. Her random attacks of Premonition
frightened her peers, and they shunned her because of it, and she,
in turn, often used her mind control abilities to make the lives of
those who bullied her a living hell, which, of course, kept her shut
up in the Dean's office on a regular basis.
Another unfortunate side effect of her powers was put into play upon
the very second her first Glimpse of time erupted. She ruptured the
continuum, jolted and snagged the attention of the madman Father of
the Atom- Nathan McCreigh, the wicked wackjob mutant known by few
as Kayn, who has every intention of manipulating her abilities to
his own twisted benefit, and soon. |
