Occupations: Weapons merchant and freelance assassin (to fund his gun shop).
Legal Status: Ken has had many run ins with the police, but none of them are concerning his assassin status. They are more concerned with his gun shop. He has been in custody many times, but never convicted. He is usually watched by the police, but they are unaware of his shape shifting abilities and as a result, are unable to keep sufficient tabs on him.
Identity: His real name is publicly known, but his mutant abilities and lifestyle are kept secret.

Marital Status: Widower. His wife was killed in a hit and run, eight years ago. Ken is currently single.

Group Affiliation: The Changelings. Ken is not an exclusive member of this team as he prefers to work for himself. He was also once affiliated with the Bounty Hunter's Guild.

Strength Level: Ken possesses the normal human strength of a man his age, height and build who engages in intensive regular exercise.
Known Superhuman Powers: Ken is a shape shifter, but his power is limited to mimicking the appearance of another. He can also mimic optic patterns, finger prints and accessories, such as sunglasses, hats, and other clothing. He is unable to morph into objects or take on the shape that was not reminiscent of the human form.
Abilities/Special Skills: Ken has mechanical skills. He can fix and customise most weapons, mainly firearms. He's not much of a brawler though, preffering to shoot people from a distance than engage them in combat. However if close up combat isn't avoidable, then he's a bit of a dirty fighter and will make use of various objects to incompacitate his opponant before attempting at a punch up where he'd most likely get his ass kicked.

Personality: Has a high level of intelligence and knows his limits. He's a pretty laid back guy and can get on with most people, allthough his perminant nonchalance can prove irritating, as can his habit of smoking.
Personal Interests: Guns and various other weaponry. He's also an avid fan of crossword puzzles and Johnny Cash records.
History: Ken was one of five shape shifters recruited by the elusive Mystique for some kind of mysterious plot against Ace and the members of The Wildcards. During the short lived battle, Ken was responsible for taking Hotshot out of the fight by whacking her across the head with a 2 x 4 plank of wood and then to add insult to injury, he put out his cigarette on her butt cheek. Upon Mystique's word, Ken and the remaining members of their Changeling team fled.
Ken next showed up in England with fellow shape shifter, Switch to capture Black due to the hefty price on her head. Unfortunately, before he got a chance to fulfil this, he was teleported away and was forced into a strange team of five former members of a now defunct Bounty Hunter's Guild by way of blackmail in order to fight Spitfire for then, Prelate Voss, now Grey Eminence, (allthough the identity of the blackmailer was not revealed to any of those involved). The mission over, his ties are severed from those he fought with and he has returned to his former business.
Ken Shackley is currently helping Mystique reclaim her daughter, Vixen Blue, for reasons as yet unknown. What Ken's role in this capture will be is yet to be revealed.
