Origin: Powers first began manifesting in her teens. She suffered increasingly more painful headaches until the afternoon that both Professor X and Emma Frost came to convince Kitty’s parents to enroll her in their respective schools. Going upstairs Kate tried to relax on her bed wishing the pain would stop. It did but when she opened her eyes she found she had phased through her bed and the floor and was resting on the floor of the living room.

Known Superhuman Powers: Shadowcat possesses the superhuman ability to slide through solid matter by negotiating the spaces between atoms. This effect extends to her clothing, as well as other objects or people with which she is in physical contact. While intangible, Shadowcat can walk on air, moving from a building's ground floor to its upper stories as if climbing a staircase. When she passes through an electrical system, she disrupts the device's inner workings.
Abilities/Special Skills: She has multiple degrees in computer technology, and bio-science. Though she rarely uses them anymore Kate still retains her knowledge of several oriental martial arts.

Personal Interests: Still enjoys dance. And uses it as a way to unwind after long stressful days.
History: Kate has devoted her life to helping save the planet from pollution and potential destruction from over-population. She has also championed the plight of the starving people in Russia and various third-world countries. Her goal has been to use technology from the Savage Land to create a more hospitable climate in Siberia by terraforming the land for farming and agriculture. She founded the Siberian Terraform Project and oversees the facility. She was dismayed to learn that parts of her research were pirated by the villainous Harbinger, and used to nearly destroy New York City. An entropic wave threatened to crumble the city under its own weight. Her son, Alloy sacrificed himself in a failed attempt to stop the entropy generator. The machine was successfully destroyed by Trump, and Alloy was transported to Muir Island for treatment in that his metallic form had rusted solid. Shortly after his arrival, he was abducted by a mysterious force calling itself Perdition. Kate mourns the loss of her son, and has put the Terraform project on hold while she and her husband grieve.
