Personality: Snare has always wanted to be a
major player in criminal circles, but so far has been frustrated by
a string of defeats. How he will ultimately respond to his transformation
into a cyborg remains to be seen.
Personal Interests: Unrevealed.
History: Little is known of Leon Kinsey’s
early life. He was first spotted as a hired mercenary, working for
the illegal mutant research facility run by Justin Marsden. Following
his ignominious defeat at the hands of the Extremists, Kinsey somehow
acquired an armoured battlesuit, and taking his name from its primary
weapons systems, adopted the name Snare, intending to make a name
for himself as a costumed mercenary. Snare’s first attempt to
win notoriety also ended in failure, as he was defeated by Spitfire
and handed over to the police. However, due to a lack of evidence
he was charged only with minor offences and was released from prison
after serving only a short sentence. On his release, Snare immediately
took a job as a bounty hunter, and managed to break into the Night
Spot to capture Laura Monikov, also known as the Extremist, Black.
However Snare was once again defeated and was badly burned by Monikov.
Black’s team mates, Facet and Mavryk were carrying Snare out
of the room when they were abducted by the rogue Shrine prelate Voss,
who intended to use them in a scheme against Spitfire. Snare was taken
also. Voss quickly realised that Snare was of no use to him, but through
using the advanced technology available to him, he could make Kinsey
more formidable, and therefore more useful. Voss’ agents replaced
much of Kinsey’s body with powerful cybernetic implants, claiming
that his body had been badly damaged by Black and that they had had
to do this in order to save his life. This was untrue, but Snare believed
them, and participated in Voss’ scheme to attack Spitfire. When
the mission was completed, Snare escaped, and remains at large. |
