Strength Level: The same level as a normal human who engages in intensive regular exercise.
Known Superhuman Powers: Creates concussive force waves. Also an actuating telepath. Which means that he can intensify the mutant powers of others, and in some cases, jumpstart latent mutants into operancy.
Abilities/Special Skills: Acolyte Training, which includes basic survival skills, hand to hand combat techniques and small arms training. Basic shuttle and atmospheric flight training.

Personality: Outgoing. Proud of his heritage as a Summers and wants his family to be proud of his accomplishments. He knows his limitations as a leader, while he can lead if he must he prefers the role of second in command and has proven very good at that role in the past.
Personal Interests: He enjoys watching and participating in sports of all types but his favorite has to be soccer. He regrets that Genosha has been unable to field a competitive team in the World Cup competition since the participants have been required to wear inhibitor collars to keep the competition fair. Because of this he is a charter member of the MAL – Mutant Athletics League which wants to create competitions where mutants are free to use their powers.
History: Philip's father joined Magneto in Genosha and is a trusted member of his inner circle. Because of Havok’s loyalty to Magneto, Surge and Solstice were two of the few people who have gotten to know Tesla, Magneto’s daughter with Polaris, well. He has come to regard Jackie as his sister and they consider Tess their closest friend. So it was only logical that Surge would join the Acolytes when he was older. He first met the Neo-X team when he, Tesla and Solstice came to the Xavier Institute to ask Professor Xavier's help. They had to stay behind when Tess returned to Genosha and as a result were part of the major battle and the gestalt that was created to defeat the Phalanx once and for all. After it was all over he and Solstice went home to Genosha and have been helping their parents and best friend keep up the illusion of Magneto’s power.
