Known Relatives: Synn’s father is the Black Rook of the Egyptian chapter of the Hellfire Club. Her Grandfather who is now deceased held that title before him.

Base of Operations: The White Rook has several properties in New York and divides her time between them and the Hellfire Brownstone. She was formerly based in Cairo, Egypt.

Origin: The White Rook is a mutant and was born with her powers, allthough they didn't manifest until she reched puberty.

Known Superhuman Powers: High Order Telekinetic, Low level Telepath, limited Teleportation.
Abilities/Special Skills: Synn is able to mentally lock on to a person’s most primal urges, and unleash them. This can cause her victims to be consumed with hatred, fear, lust or greed, and the victims will do anything to satisfy that urge. The length of time that the victim can be affected seems to be approximately two hours, although it can depend on their proximity to her and how long she maintains her concentration on them. Synn has limited telepathic talents which enable her to share a link with her companion Nero, a black lynx.

Personality: Synn is opportunistic and manipulative. She enjoys using her powers to humiliate her rivals.

History: Synn was born in Egypt. Uncontrollable and rebellious, her sent her to an all girls private school in Milan. She was later expelled for exciting a riot using her developing mutant powers. This began a succession of incidents where she was briefly taken in by, and then expelled from the best schools in Europe. Finally, she returned home for a short while and spent a lot of time with her grandfather who was Black Rook of the Egyptian chapter. Her grandfather was one of the first members of Hellfire when a chapter was established in Egypt, and for the first time she realised that she could use her abilities to gain personal power. Upon the death of her grandfather, Synn was determined to claim his seat within the circle, only to find her father who never wanted anything to do with the club had already ascended to the title.
Synn left Egypt and came to New York in hopes of claiming a title of her own, and attended a party at the New York Hellfire Club. She made an instant impression and when the Inner Circle was reorganised following the assassination of the White King, she was elected to the position of White Rook. Jealous of the White Queen, Krystil Frost, Synn used her powers to make her sleep with Armond DeFaux, the White Bishop. DeFaux was murdered by the Black King, Frost’s fiancée, and both the Black King and the White Queen are unaware of the part Synn played in the affair.
