History: After discovering that the mutant shape shifter Mystique had been mimicking Vice President Wilson for an undertermined amount of time, Sam Wilson was recovered from the basement of a small house in one of the Southern states. A short time later, after Wilson was back to good health, out of the blue President Rogers handed over the presidency to him claiming that he had many personal projects he wished to pursue and as President it allowed him little to no free time to even consider taking them on board.
Wilson has since approved the new government sanctioned X-Factor team under the guidence of James Cooper, who he is keeping a close watch on.
