Origin: Melanie is a mutant and was born with her powers, allthough they didn't manifest until she reached puberty.

Eyes: Completely black.
Hair: White, long and straight.
Distinguishing Marks: In her natural form Melanie has no pigment to her eyes, her arms are long and tenticle like from the elbow down and she also doesn't have any nose.
Strength Level: Melanie possesses the normal human strength of a woman her age, height and build who engages in intensive regular exercise.
Known Superhuman Powers: Melanie is a shape shifter, but her power isn't limited to mimicking the appearance of another. She can also morph her tenticle like limbs into any shaped she wishes including regular shaped arms. She can stretch her arms out to approximately 10 feet in length. Her favourite use for them is to strangle people.
Abilities/Special Skills: Melanie doesn't appear to have any useful skills, allthough she is pretty good at shoplifting and stealing cars.

Personality: Melanie is normally a very selfish person, but has come to regard the other members of the Changeling team as some kind of adopted family. She was upset at the demise of her fallen team-mate, Dale Mallard. She suffers from kleptomania which is what got her into such trouble in her teen years. She's generally a very angry person and seems to have very little sense of humour.
Personal Interests: Melanie never really took to anything, and as a result has no hobbies or interests. She gets bored very easily and resorts to petty theft and other troubles.
History: Melanie was one of five shape shifters recruited by the elusive Mystique for some kind of mysterious plot against Ace and the members of The Wildcards. During the short lived battle, Melanie almost strangled Ace to death via the use of her shape shifting tenticles, until she was stopped by Mystique and upon her word, Melanie and the remaining members of their Changeling team fled. Melanie's whereabouts are currently unknown.
