History: Very little is known about Mariko’s
life in the past 20 years. The only two concrete facts are that she
has assumed leadership of the Yashida Clan after the deaths of her
male relatives. The only other solid piece of information available
is that at some point about seventeen years ago she had a relationship
with Wolverine that resulted in their daughter. Mariko named the girl
Hisui and was able to keep her existence a secret from Wolverine until
recently when the girl found out about her father and left the Clan
taking the name Jade, the English translation of her Japanese name. |
