Yes, it’s true. After 8 long years on the web and countless stories and characters, we’re sad to say Next-X is going on indefinite hiatus. This isn’t an easy thing for us to do, but despite recent intentions to reboot and try to pump new life into the site, we feel it’s best to say that the site has run its course.

We want to give a humungous thank you to all the readers who have enjoyed our work and shared their time with us on the forums. You guys are what made this whole ride so great and we love you for it. We really can’t thank you enough.

So what now?

Well, the existing stories will remain here, so anytime you want to relive some fun adventures or revisit some old friends, they’ll be here waiting. As for the various creators at Next-X most of us are still involved in various creative endeavors and the majority of us have web pages on the online art community Deviant Art. If you ever want to come by and see what we’re up to or just feel like saying “hi” we’d love to see you again.
